New flood maps have been released for Lafayette Parish
Those maps have been updated for the first time since 1996. LCG says that FEMA finalized the Flood Insurance Study for Lafayette Parish after a nearly 10-year mapping process.
As part of this process, FEMA revised the floodplain boundaries throughout the parish, identifying flood-vulnerable areas.
