Children living in public housing receive toys ahead of Christmas

The Public Housing Team of the Housing Authority of the City of Lafayette is making Christmas brighter for children in Lafayette.

Friday the groups aided by the National Pan-Hellenic Council distributing gifts to children, under the age of 12, who reside in the public housing developments.

Around 200 gifts were distributed, donated through the National Pan-Hellenic Council’s Lafayette Chapter.

The sororities and fraternities who assisted in gathering the gifts and delivering them to the public housing staff for wrapping and labeling were: Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.; and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. The delivery of these gifts by NPHC is scheduled for Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at the Lafayette Housing Authority.
