Two men have been arrested in connection with residential burglaries in Carencro.

In November of 2018, the Carencro Police Department began investigating the simple burglary of new homes within Carencro. Police say that during the burglaries, brand new appliances along with several other items were being stolen from the homes.

In several of the burglaries in and near the Carencro area, the suspects used a white GMC Sierra truck pulling a utility trailer to load the new appliances and drive off.

On December 17, 2018, detectives with the Carencro Police Department located the white GMC truck used in the burglaries. After an investigation, police say it was found that there were several burglaries committed by the same individual within Lafayette Parish.

Carencro Detectives worked with Lafayette Sheriff’s Office Detectives and located the stolen items which are valued over $15,000.

28-year-old Shawn Fowler of Carencro, La, was arrested for multiple counts of simple burglary and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

40-year-old Joseph Vallian Jr. was arrested by the Lafayette Sheriff’s Office for the illegal possession of stolen things, valued over $15,000 and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
