Lafayette Education Foundation is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization.

Current director Etienna Wright is taking a position with her church.

“I have been with LEF for over six years and this organization holds a special place in my heart. I have been given the opportunity to work for my church, and I feel like that is the work I’m meant to do at this time,” Wright says. “It was a difficult decision to make. LEF has been such a blessing to my life. I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to serve the education community in Lafayette in this way.”

The organization’s mission is to promote and support excellence in education in Lafayette Parish schools. LEF seeks an individual who has knowledge and concern for our public school system, who is connected to the community at large, and who has extensive non-profit fundraising experience.

“LEF is an organization that meets a very specific need in our community,” says Board President, William W. Rucks V. “In addition to honoring outstanding educators through the annual Teacher Awards program, LEF provides monetary grants to teachers, allowing them to provide creative and innovative approaches to learning in the classroom.”

“What LEF needs is someone to help lead the charge for organizational growth, enabling us support teachers in making gains in our education system from the ground up,” says Blaise Zuschlag, Vice President of Fund Development.

LEF will be accepting cover letters and resumes for the Executive Director position until January 11, 2019. For a full job description and information on how to apply, visit https://lefoundation.org/about/team.
