Officials at the Center for Louisiana Studies are teaching students and professionals about digital preservation.
A workshop was held today at the Lafayette Science Museum.
They invited trainers from the Library of Congress Outreach Program. They presented the steps to take on preservation and explained why it’s important.
“We are basically just trying to encourage people to look at their collections and any sort of items that they may have that are older materials and consider preserving them properly,” said Jennifer Ritter Guidry, Assistant Director of Programming, Center for Louisiana Studies.
