Several organizations are working together to make sure homeless veterans maintain good hygiene.
Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Joseph’s Diner and UL Communication students teamed up for a hope project.
The groups donated toiletries, blankets, snacks and clothing to the St. Michael Center for Veterans to help provide important items for those out in the cold.
“Just to have items to brush their teeth and wash their face, things we take for granted every day was a blessing,” said Linda Peters, Liaison, Lourdes Congregational Health Services. “And not only that, a touch. A touch, a smile, a hug and hope. There is hope.”
