Lafayette High band heading to NYC to participate in Thanksgiving Day parade

The Lafayette High Mighty Lion Band is heading to the Big Apple this afternoon in anticipation of their upcoming performance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

On Monday at 2:30 pm, 205 Lafayette High students will head to New York City to participate in Thursday’s 92nd annual Thanksgiving spectacle.

This will be the band’s debut performance at the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Arriving in Herald Square after making the 2.5-mile walk from 77th Street and Central Park West, the band will perform “Let It Snow” for around 50 million viewers from across the country. The band is under the direction of Scotty Walker.

Catch the Lafayette High School Mighty Lions ushering in the holidays on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 22 on NBC’s The Today Show. The parade will be televised from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.
