LAFAYETTE – Two Acadiana nonprofits are encouraging children to eat healthier foods.
The Children’s Museum of Acadiana teamed up with Eat Fit Acadiana for an event Saturday at the Lafayette museum, showcasing healthy menu guides in the restaurant exhibit and labeling healthy food options in the grocery store exhibit.
Kids also made their own fruit kabobs to eat.
The event wasn’t only a learning experience for the kids but for their parents and caregivers as well.
