The Woman’s Foundation in Lafayette will host a Safe Baby Sitter Class for children eleven and up during next week’s school vacation.
The classes are held on the Women’s and Children’s campus and teach basic safety tips, CPR, first aid and business skills.
“They learn the business part of safe sitter,” Terri Roberts, Community Education. “They are their own bosses, they are entrepreneurs. So it teaches them how to screen which family they’re going to sit for or how they’re going to run their business, their pay, their rate and overall how to be safe.”
