The City of Broussard is preparing for its tree lighting ceremony scheduled for the end of November.
The “Lighting of The Tree Ceremony”, which is a new tradition in Broussard is scheduled for Wednesday, November 28, 2018 beginning at 5:30 pm.
According to organizers, a 25 foot Christmas tree will be lit to kick off the Christmas season in Broussard. Christmas Carols will be performed by a student chorus and Santa will be available for pictures.
Hot chocolate and sweets will be served and food will be available for purchase.
This tree lighting will take place at Broussard City Hall, located at 310 E. Main Street.
Broussard Police remind drivers that Main Street, between its intersection with Morgan Avenue and Polk Street, will be closed on that date from 5:00 pm and 8:30 pm.
