Fountain Memorial Funeral Home held a Veterans Day service today remembering the service members who died as well as those still serving.
The group then moved inside where the honor guard took part in a flag ceremony.
“I feel I am giving more back with the Honor Guard,” said Barry Dufour, Adjutant, Acadiana Veterans Honor Guard. “We actually do things for veterans; you know funerals, I hate to say, it’s the worst part. But we also do flag ceremonies and stuff like that. And you give back to the community. The veterans’ appreciation and Acadiana’s appreciation…that’s what’s good about it.”
