A group of first graders are getting active when learning about movement.
PACE hosted a creative movement class at Middlebrook Elementary School as part of Plan Lafayette Week.
The students moved around the class, acting as the solar system to learn more about orbiting and rotation.
“Students get a chance to experience art in a way that connects with their school work, but they also get to experience their school work in a way that they can use their creativity,” according to Theresa Wasiloski, PACE Movement Art Teacher, LPSS. “And I think that’s really wonderful and they take a lot of ownership for their work.”
