The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office hosted a Resource Fair today.
The event featured deputies and local vendors to offer information to recently released offenders and their families – and the general public.
LPSO hosts the event to offer an opportunity to community members to network and get information about various resources available to them.
“It allows them to feel like they’re actually starting the transition back into society in the right way,” an organizer said. “It also lets them know that vendors are open to working with ex-offenders, so it makes them more comfortable.”
