The Middlebrook Foundation says it is partnering with Deano’s Pizza to help raise money for the less fortunate.

Deano’s will donate a percentage of its sales on October 2, 2018, to the Middlebrook Foundation. Both locations of Deano’s located on 305 Bertrand Drive and 2313 Kaliste Saloom Road, are participating.

The Middlebrook Foundation was started in the fall of 2017 to honor Cpl. Michael Middlebrook who lost his life in the line of duty on October 1 of that year.

The founder of the charity is his widow, Adrien Middlebrook.

“After the tragic death of my husband, I received numerous messages from people telling me about how my husband had helped them. He provided food to the homeless, gave clothes to the poor, provided hotel stays for battered women and their kids, as well as checking on kids in the community, both on and off duty. He did all of this not wanting any recognition, because he knew to do good was God’s will. I knew I could not let this go unnoticed, that’s when I sat down with my attorney and her team and discussed ways to give back — that’s when the ideas for the Middlebrook Foundation started.”

The goals of Middlebrook Foundation are to help the homeless, the less fortunate in the community and to help the families of officers who are killed in the line of duty.
