Lawmakers are recapping this year’s Legislative Session with members of the Lafayette Black Chamber of Commerce.
They discussed infrastructure, the budget and other topics during a luncheon this afternoon.
Black Chamber members say they want to bring more clarity about what happens in Baton Rouge.
“They get a first-hand experience with their legislators,” said Black Chamber board member Jolan Jolivette. “They get to hear and see what they are going through in Baton Rouge, what they are fighting for, and what they stand for. They get to ask their questions, and they get to get them answered.”
