KATC took home three awards at Louisiana Associate of Broadcasters Prestige Awards on Tuesday
The Prestige Awards is sponsored annually by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters to recognize outstanding achievements by Louisiana radio and television broadcasters. The competition was established to encourage the highest standards of reporting, community service and production creativity.
At the ceremony held in Baton Rouge, KATC's Jim Hummel and the KATC Investigates team received two awards for "The List" which uncovered accusations of abuse in The Diocese of Lafayette.
Those awards were for best series/documentary and investigative report.
KATC Reporter and Weekend Anchor Kendria LaFleurwas honored as Multimedia Journalist of the Year.
