A Lake Charles man was arrested in connection with an alleged theft of guns in Welsh
The Jeff Daivs Parish Sheriff’s Office says that on November 27, 20,18, deputies received a complaint regarding a theft of firearms at a camp located on Highway 99 in Welsh. An investigation revealed that a burglary had occurred and firearms were allegedly stolen.
Detectives say they were able to recover firearms which had been pawned by 22-year-old Hunter Quarles. An arrest warrant was issued for Quarles on simple burglary and three counts of theft of a firearm.
JDPSO says that Quarles turned himself in to detectives Thursday, December 6, 2018, and was arrested without incident. He was booked into the Jeff Davis Parish Jail.
His bond is set at 50,000.
