A Texas woman has been arrested accused of theft and forgery in Jeff Davis Parish.
Deputies with the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office say that on August 21, 2017 they received a complaint of a theft. As the investigation progressed, a warrant was issued for 63-year-old Frances Sturless. That warrant was for Theft and 50 Counts of Forgery.
Sturless, who had been an employee of the victim, was arrested at her residence in Orange, Texas for the outstanding warrant on November 19, 2018. S
Thursday, Sturless was transported back to Louisiana and booked into the Jeff Davis Parish Jail.
No bond at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
