People in New Iberia gathered together to advocate for violence prevention.
VOICE held its 16th annual Victims’ Rally at the Steamboat Warehouse Pavilion in New Iberia.
The event is designed to raise awareness, provide information and offer support to victims.
Guest speakers included Assistant District Attorney for the 16th Judicial District Anthony Saleme and Gary Young, Assistant Warden at Louisiana State Penitentiary.
A butterfly release was held in memory of victims of violence.
Representatives from numerous victim services were on hand to answer questions and provide information to attendees.
