An interim New Iberia City Marshal will be appointed at Wednesday night’s city council meeting.
The new appointment will replace long-time City Marshal Vic Delcambre who died last week. Delcambre served as City Marshal for 40 years.
The person appointed to the position tonight will serve until an election can be called.
The meeting starts at 5:30 pm at New Iberia City Hall.
