One Acadiana family is honoring the memory of a loved one by continuing his tradition.
The group stopped by the Landmark of Acadiana nursing home in Cade today, to bring fresh fruit to the residents.
This is the way their relative would spend his holidays, and they wanted to replicate his kind gesture.
“He always wanted to do things for people. And this was his heart, to service the elderly. So he did this for 28 years,” said Shirley Simon, also known as Mrs. Claus.
