On Thursday, this year's winner of the Home for the Holidays got a tour of her new home - something she never dreamed would happen.
"I woke up this morning thinking it was still a dream," said Heather Hadley of Rayne. "And I'm still walking around today still thinking it's a dream, because this is such a wonderful gift that I've received."
Heather's name was picked out of a hopper full of names from across Acadiana. Heather said she never thought she'd win the grand prize. This was also the first year she'd ever bought a ticket.
"I did not expect to win. This is the first year I've ever bought a ticket, and it was hard to buy that ticket...I was scraping up. But I said okay, I'm just going to do it. But I didn't think I'd actually win the house."
Heather met the builders of the home today and took a room by room tour of her new home.
