Catholic Charities of Acadiana is in need of volunteers to assist in applying tarps on damaged roofs in the Acadiana area.

“In the wake of Hurricane Delta, we are responding to hundreds of individuals who are in need of assistance with damaged roofs” said Ben Broussard, Chief Communications Officer for Catholic Charities of Acadiana. “We have an opportunity and a responsibility to respond and mitigate further damage by applying as many tarps as we can in this window of good weather.”

Those interested in volunteering to assist on a tarp team can click here [engage.squarespace-mail.com] and choose “tarp team” in the form options. Service groups, churches and civic organizations are especially invited to volunteer as a group to work under the guidance of Catholic Charities and Rebuilding Together Acadiana staff.

Catholic Charities of Acadiana is also in need of tarps to assist those who have suffered damage and are in need of assistance. Those interested in donating tarps can bring tarps to any area Goodwill of Acadiana location or purchase online and have them shipped directly to the Catholic Charities of Acadiana warehouse by clicking here [engage.squarespace-mail.com].

Those interested in hosting tarp and supply drives should contact Sarah Baquet with any questions by emailing sarahb@catholiccharitiesacadiana.org.
