The Rayne Frog Festival will continue despite the rain.
If inclement weather passes through tomorrow, the big events, like the Frog Leg Etiquette Eating Contest and Frog Racing and Jumping Contest, will move under the big pavilion.
The festival is a major economic generator for the city.
“The Rayne Frog Festival does a lot. For every dollar made, the commerce gives it back to the city in some way. So, it brings in a lot of tourism, and it’s also a time for the community to come together to honor the history of Rayne and all of the people of Rayne,” said Kennidy Peavy, Miss Rayne Frog Festival.
