Police are investigating a shooting that happened Friday afternoon in Rayne.
One victim was struck at the corner of Bailey and W. Jeff Davis avenues, according to a spokeswoman for the department. Police received the call at 3:43 pm.
The victim has been airlifted to a Lafayette hospital with gunshot wounds to the leg.
No word yet on a suspect.
