Senegal, according to Gibson, was terminated from her position as a deputy several weeks ago.

An inmate has also been charged in connection with the investigation. Sheriff Gibson says that other arrests are pending a continued investigation.

Senegal was arrested and booked Friday, December 7 on charges of 1 count introduction of contraband into a penal facility and 1 count of Malfeasance in Office.

” I expect my deputies to be law abiding and represent themselves as a professional law enforcement officer at all times,” says Gibson.  “We will continue our efforts to assure that this type of behavior will be dealt with according to law for any employee who violates their oath and the law”
