The 16th annual Crowley Labor Day Picnic was held today.
The event took place at the Martin Luther King building. It’s hosted by the Homeland Civic and Social Club.
Organizers say the annual event is a way to bring the community together.
“When people leave and go to various places like Texas and California, its always nice to have them come back home, we can see what all they’ve done, how they’ve done and prospered,” said Walter Andrus, president of the club. “So its a good thing because we always get a chance to get them to come out.”
