This weekend, a youth rally for equality and justice will be held at the Rayne Frog Festival Pavilion.
Happening from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, the rally will be focused on promoting peace, equality, youth empowerment, and activism.
The founder of the rally is a youth herself. 10-year-old Amiyah Jones-Settle says she sees a need for increased unity.
"When I was watching everything happening on TV, it made me feel like I needed to help out and do something about it," she said.
The Rayne native believes young people must be involved in the processes that will bring about positive change.
Everyone is invited to attend the rally. Masks are required.
