CROWLEY, La. - A man has been arrested for holding a woman against her will and raping her, police say.

On Friday, December 27, 2019, at 1:02 p.m., officers with the Crowley Police Department were called to the 400 block of East Jeanette Street in reference to a possible rape.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a woman who advised that Tony J. Trumps, 49, had been holding her at a makeshift barn against her will and would not allow her to leave.

She further stated to officers that while she was being held in the barn, she was forced to have sex with the suspect.

The victim was transported to Acadia General Hospital, where a rape kit was performed, according to investigators.

Officers located Tony Trumps at the barn described by the victim.

He was arrested on charges of first degree rape and false imprisonment.

Tony J. Trumps was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail on a $135,000 bond.
