United Cajun Navy partnered with a Crowley church to host a community event on Saturday.
The event, called 'Crowley Together,' was held at Love of Christ Baptist Church and featured voter registration, a food giveaway, and a free COVID-19 testing site. Testing was conducted by the Louisiana National Guard.
"We need the people to see that we do care, we do have feelings, and if you can't go to the church for help, where can you go?" said Pastor of Love of Christ Corwin Marjain. "The church always asks for help, but we can help. It's important for youth to see those that stepped up in the community for their leadership."
Saturday's event was open to everyone and lasted until 6 p.m.
