A Christmas fundraiser for Precious Paw Prints Animal Rescue was held Saturday in Crowley's Levy Park.

The event featured a scavenger hunt, letters to Santa, Christmas pictures and hot cocoa.

Several area businesses and restaurants sponsored the event.

All proceeds are going to Precious Paw Prints Animal Rescue, a local shelter that aims to help abandoned, abused, and neglected animals.

"Fostering is very important, especially with our organization, because we are a foster-based organization," explained Jamie Amie, Director of Precious Paw Prints. "When we pull them from the shelters they go straight into foster and they stay there and learn things they need to get into a home."
