Louisiana native Laine Hardy is now even closer to claiming the title on American Idol.

The Livingston Parish teen moved his way into the Top 6 on Sunday night after rocking out to Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls” and singing a duet with fellow Top 6 finalist Laci Kaye Booth.

That duet of “Jackson” by Johnny Cash and June Carter, elicited comments about romance from judge Katy Perry who warned last year’s show couple, Maddie Poppe and Caleb Hutchinson, to “watch out.”
