Winds will start to die down tonight and with clear skies temperatures will cool off nicely setting up a chilly start to the work week with lows in the mid to upper 40s.
After the cool start Monday looks to be a fantastic day with lots of sunshine and pleasant temperatures in the mid 70s.
Tuesday will be just as beautiful with mostly sunny skies and temperatures a little warmer in the upper 70s to near 80.
Clouds will slide over Acadiana on Wednesday ahead of our next system but we will still have peeks of sunshine pushing highs into the lower 80s.
Thursday a strong storm system will swing through Acadiana arriving during the morning commute and will continue through the early afternoon.
According to the Storm Prediction Center they have Acadiana already in a slight risk(15%) for a few storms to be on the severe side with large hail and damaging wind gusts as the main threats but a spin-up tornado can not be ruled out.
That said just like the past couple storm systems I think the better threat for the worst of the weather will be to our north towards Arkansas and Missouri and then over into Mississippi and Alabama.
Once this front clears the region late Thursday afternoon a stretch of nice weather will return to Acadiana just in time for the Easter weekend.
Good Friday looks great with mostly sunny skies and comfortable temperatures in the mid 70s although it will be a little breezy with winds out of the WNW at 10-18 mph.
For any Easter egg hunts on Holy Saturday the weather could not be any more perfect with lots of sunshine and highs in the upper 70s.
As for Easter Sunday we could have a few passing clouds but it will still be a great day with seasonal temperatures in the lower 80s.
Even into the following week we will have a mix of sun and clouds Monday and Tuesday with highs in the lower 80s before a few scattered could return on Wednesday.
