Happy Mardi Gras everyone!
A cold holiday this year but doubtful that it will tamper spirits much at all because at least the sun will be shining through the day.
Temperatures will sit in the 30s through the early parades with the wind chill down in the 20s for the first half of the day, winds remain gusty and out of the north.
Sunshine is expected to remain through the entire day with maybe a few early morning clouds that lingered from Monday.
It’ll be important to bundle up before going out and celebrating, dress in layers and don’t get fooled by the sunshine.
A freeze warning will be in effect overnight so if you haven’t done so take care of any sensitive vegetation, pipes should be fine.
The rest of the week is staying cool and quiet with the next round of showers arriving sometime over the weekend.
Have a safe and enjoyable Mardi Gras.
