A portion of Highway 83 in St. Mary Parish is closed following an asphalt spill.
According to the Baldwin Volunteer Fire Department, Highway 83 north is shutdown to one lane just north of the train tracks.
Crews are asking that motorists avoid Highway 83 North towards Baldwin if possible. Crews are still on scene cleaning up an asphalt.
