CHURCH POINT – Richard’s Cajun Foods is spreading Christmas cheer with their 12 Days of Sharing campaign.

They’re surprising people with gift baskets full of Richard’s goodies and swag.

The locally-owned business been in Church Point since 1981, and their roughly 100 employees deliver Cajun authenticity in their food products.

“We’re Cajuns. We grew up on the food that we sell today, that we still enjoy eating today with our friends and family. So, the people that are involved with making the product know what Cajun is, know what it’s supposed to taste like, feel like, look like,” said Richard’s Cajun Foods President Ronnie Doucet.

So far, they have surprised the Church Point Volunteer Fire Department, St. Joseph Diner, Henderson police, Lafayette firefighters, and Myrtle Place Elementary School.

“We just want to surprise somebody. They’re not gonna be expecting us, and we think it’s gonna put a lot of smiles on a lot of faces,” said Doucet.

You can nominate someone to receive a surprise gift basket on Richard’s Cajun Foods Facebook page.
