Visitors can now learn a little more about the nature around them while embarking the Bayou Teche National Water Trail.
The Teche Water Project unveiled 15 new information kiosks.
A kiosk will be placed at each of the trailheads from Port Barre to Patterson telling stories of those communities.
“We’re just really happy to have this designation, it really validates what us locals have been knowing for a long time,” said Connie Castille, Executive Director, The Teche Project. “This is a beautiful waterway and a significant waterway.”
