The son of Alton Sterling, the man killed by a former Baton Rouge Police officer in 2016, has been arrested and accused of raping an 8-year-old boy while babysitting.
According to an arrest warrant obtained by the Advocate, Sterling is accused of taking a child into a bedroom, locking the door, and raping the child.
The warrant states that Sterling was asked by the mother of the child what happened and Sterling allegedly denied that anything happened. Police began investigating on December 9 after being called to the hospital, according to WBRZ.
Police say the incident occurred over the weekend.
Sterling was arrested and booked on charges of first-degree rape. No bond has been set.
