64,242 cases of Del Monte Fiesta corn are being recalled due to under-processing that can lead to spoilage and pathogen growth.

Del Monte Foods Inc. says that a deviation in the commercial sterilization process could cause the product to spoil and pathogens to grow. Consuming the product could lead to life-threatening illness, according to the company.

No illnesses have been reported from the recalled corn. No other Del Monte products are currently affected.
