A shortage of donations for veteran care packages has a group of volunteers asking for help.

For 13 years, the Acadiana area for veterans delivers care package to veterans. However, the group is seeing a shortage in donations this year that help supply the packages.

“We bring these care packages to them, showing that they’re not forgotten. We appreciate them,” Robert LeBon with the group said.

“If we do not get these items, I won’t have nothing to bring to them. A lot of these veterans look forward to us coming to them because a lot of them don’t get visitors all year long.”

They’re looking for hygiene items, clothes, blankets and more for the veterans.

The group will be delivering packages until December 1st. If you’d like to make a donation you can visit one of the drop-off locations in Lafayette. Those locations include

  • Crown & Anchor Tattoos: 5905 Johnston St
  • La DOTD in Lafayette: 428 Hugh Wallis Rd
