Man and woman arrested in Lafayette drive-by shooting

LAFAYETTE – A man and a woman are in jail following a drive-by shooting early Saturday morning.

Police responded to a call of a drive-by shooting on Marne Street. They looked at video surveillance and were able to identify the two suspects.

Later, officers saw the suspects, who they identified as Kevin Auguillard, Jr. and Brittney Bokar, walking on Mudd Avenue.

Police say officers approached Auguillard, and he started running. He then allegedly pulled out a gun.

According to police, Auguillard pulled the trigger twice and shot himself in the leg.

Officers then arrested the two suspects.

Police say Bokar was the driver of the vehicle involved in the shooting. She was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center with principal to assault by drive-by shooting.

Auguillard was booked with assault by drive-by shooting.

No one else was injured.
