The Broussard City Council approved final adoption of a “small cell wireless” contract with Cox Communications at its regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
According to the minutes for the meeting, Carencro has already signed the agreement and Youngsville and Scott are also looking into it.
The agreement is for a contract franchise and city structure use that would help improve wireless service capabilities in city limits and help first responders during natural disasters.
The Broussard City Council passed the ordinance unanimously.
