A group of Lafayette seniors are coming up with ways they can help improve their communities.
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program hosted a town hall meeting to hear what area residents are concerned about and feel need to be changed.
The organization’s advisory council will then go over the input and figure out volunteer opportunities for the seniors.
“This is the first of the type we have with the RSVP Program,” Susannah Johnson Malbreaux, Director, RSVP Project. “With us getting into the pulse of the seniors, that will help us to establish new opportunities for them to volunteer.”
