The Lake Charles Police SWAT Team will be conducting training on Thursday, August 9, according to the police department.
The training will happen from 9:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m. in the 400 block of North Cherry Street.
Police say that residents and citizens should not be alarmed if they hear loud noises coming from that area. There will be a number of uniformed police officers, as well as police vehicles and equipment in the area for the duration of this exercise.
