During the month of July, 2018 the following defendants were convicted or pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 15th Judicial District Court, Parishes of Lafayette and Vermilion:

LAFAYETTE PARISH

Elijah Ross, Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Robbery, 18 months hard labor

Desamon George, Second Degree Battery, 3 years hard labor

Kwama Wilson, Simple Burglary, 3 years hard labor

Erica Chapman, Possession of Methamphetamine, Resisting Arrest, 18 months hard labor

Steven Gass, Possession of Methamphetamine, 10 months hard labor

Karl Guidry, 2 counts of Home Invasion, 10 years hard labor

Stephanie Guidry, Possession of Legend Drugs and Cruelty to the Infirmed, 10 years hard labor

Mark Prejean, Possession of Schedule II/Hydrocodone, 12 months hard labor

Matthew Lucas, Possession of Heroin, 3 years hard labor, 3 years active supervised probation.

VERMILION PARISH

Rene Landry, 2 counts Crime Against Nature, 3 years hard labor on each count, suspended, 3 years active supervised probation; Sex Offender Treatment, Substance Abuse Treatment,

15 years Sex Offender Registry

Luther Richardson, Simple Burglary, 9 years hard labor

Nigel Landry, 2 counts Simple Burglary, 6 years hard labor on each count

Robert Howze, Failure to Register as Sex Offender, 2 years hard labor

Deandrus Mitchell, Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, 3 years hard labor

Paxton Bass, Simple Burglary, 5 years hard labor, suspended, 2 years active supervised probation

Tekoa Schexnider, Criminal Mischief, 6 months parish jail

Alex Hillard, Attempted Molestation of  Juvenile, Presentence Investigation

Ray Bourque, Jr., Molestation of  Juvenile, Aggravated Crime against Nature, 31 years hard labor

Austin Segura, Felony Theft, 2 years hard labor

Chase Trahan, Cruelty to a Juvenile, Simple Burglary, Presentence Investigation
