Vernon Parish Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Hutton man and accused him of multiple child sex charges, including possession of child pornography involving infants.

Jeffry Johnson, 57, was booked with one count of Crimes Against Nature and one count of Molestation of a Juvenile. Bond was set at $ 100,000.00 by 30th JDC Judge Scott Westerchil.

Sheriff Sam Craft said the investigation began with a complaint that Johnson sexually abused two children for years between 1997 and 2013. During the investigation, evidence was found that Johnson might have child pornography.

Detectives escorted Johnson to VPSO and during the course of an interview Johnson allegedly admitted to sexual contact with a minor.

Detectives obtained a permission to search on Johnson’s computer and conducted a cursory examination of the computer’s contents; they found a substantial amount of child porn involving infants, children, and pre-pubescent minors.

VPSO Detectives immediately made contact with Investigators with the Louisiana State Police and requested their assistance in conducting a forensic examination of the computer. That investigation will continue, and additional charges are expected.
