Friday evening, the Louisiana Department of Education will name the 2019 Louisiana Teacher and Principal of the Year.
The announcement is part of the annual Cecil J Picard Educator Excellence Awards Gala. It will be held this year in Baton Rouge Crowne Plaza Executive Center.
The gala begins at 6:30 p.m.
