The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for two suspects wanted for allegedly stealing $8,000 worth of items from a business in Pine Prairie on July 8.

The department says that after an investigation into the theft it was learned that two suspects had allegedly loaded items onto a trailer located on the property. The two suspects were identified by police as 37-year-old Ashley Ryan Yielding and 35-year-old Jessica Hope Wiles.

A deputy investigating the incident was able to recover the stolen items at Yielding and Wiles’ residence and return them to the business. Brief contact was made with Yielding regarding the theft, but deputies say he evaded capture. Deputies say the value of the stolen items was over $8,000.

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of both Yielding and Wiles for two counts Theft and two counts criminal trespassing. Warrants were signed by 13th Judicial Judge Gary Ortego with bond set at $25,000 each.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Yielding and Wiles is asked to call the Evangeline Parish’s Investigation Division at 337-363-2161. All calls will remain anonymous.
