Vermilionville to host professional development opportunities for teachers

Vermilionville will hold professional development opportunities for teachers during the 2018-2019 Summer Institute. This year’s Institute entitled, ‘Mange’ A Celebration of Foodways, will introduce teachers to the use of culturally relevant foodways through historic and folklife sources and inspire creative and engaging learning endeavors in the classroom. This year’s institute will be held at Vermilionville’s Performance Center on Thursday, July 26 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Friday, July 27th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The event is free for educators, but pre-registration is required. The courses are limited to 40 participants.
