The Lafayette Police Department will conduct an OWI Checkpoint on Friday, July 27 within the incorporated limits of Lafayette.Police say that the checkpoint will occur between the hours of 9:00 pm and 3:00 am and will target impaired drivers that are under the influence of alcohol or other dangerous substances. Officers say that they will respond with zero tolerance to drivers found to be under the influence. Those caught drinking and driving could face fines and jail times, according to police.
